SHAVE + EXFOLIATE
The night before your appointment, shave any unwanted hair and exfoliate your entire body using a proper exfoliating mitt. This step is crucial for achieving a smooth, flawless tan—especially if you still have remnants of a previous sunless tan. If that’s the case, consider using PH Toner to fully remove it. Applying a new tan over an old one is like painting over chipped nail polish—it won’t look even or smooth. Use sulfate- free soap and moisturizer (for aftercare). SKIP THE PRODUCTS
On the day of your tan, avoid applying lotions, deodorants, oils, or perfumes. These can create a barrier on your skin that interferes with the tan, potentially causing blotchiness or green underarms.

WASH YOUR HAIR IN ADVANCE
Try to wash your hair before your appointment (or plan your hair washing around it). Shampoo and conditioner during your first rinse can affect the way your tan develops.

PLAN AHEAD
We understand life doesn’t pause for a spray tan—which is why we use lightweight solutions and a non-stick drying powder to help you carry on with your day. Still, you’ll want to wear loose, dark clothing, flip flops, avoid water (no dishwashing, bathing little ones, or cooking with steam), and steer clear of heavy sweating until you rinse.

Avoid Skin-to-Skin Contact
Until you’ve rinsed, try to avoid skin-to-skin contact—especially with your hands and fingers. DHA can transfer and disrupt the even, seamless blend your technician carefully applied. This is especially important if you're developing your tan overnight. If you're sleeping in your tan, we highly recommend wearing loose, dark long sleeves and pants to bed for best results.

Keep Water Away
Stay dry until your scheduled rinse time. This means no hand washing, dishwashing, bathing kids, or getting caught in the rain. Water will stop the DHA from developing properly, so sticking to the timing your technician gives you is key.

Stick to Your Rinse Schedule
Rinse exactly when your technician recommends—especially if you’re using our rapid solution!

• LUSTER (8–12 hour formula): Do not exceed 24 hours before rinsing.

• CRAVE (rapid rinse solution):
  • 2 hours = light-medium
  • 3 hours = medium
  • 4 hours = medium-dark
  • 5–6 hours = dark

Your first rinse should be with water only—no soap, shampoo, or conditioner. Save those for your first full shower later.

Post-Rinse Expectations
Right after rinsing, you may notice your color looks lighter or like it washed away. Don’t worry—that’s totally normal, especially with the rapid tan. Your glow will continue to develop and deepen over the next 18–24 hours. Trust the process and moisturize!
